| Charles Nissen's other
passion-turned-obsession is the customization of his 1966 Chevy Corvair Corsa, an ongoing
struggle that ultimately became the subject of a feature-length movie, Corvair Summer. Not
only was Charles the star of the movie, but he was very involved behind the scenes with
camera work, writing, editing and visual effects. This is most evident in the intensely
stylized nightmare sequence, which offers a frightening glimpse into the workings of
Charles' mind at rest. |

Corvair Summer was
produced on a modest budget, yet it is epic in scope, condensing an entire summer's worth
of cool cars, rockin' music and good times into one movie. It's a great example of what
can be done with a good idea, a little creativity and a lot of hard work. To read more
